She was born Zhu Zheqin, but is better known as Dadawa. Tibetan music was her first inspiration, but the singer has now travelled the world. And she's back with a new album, of what she calls Pan-Asian music. We went to her Beijing show, where Dadawa agreed to a Culture Express interview. And, let me tell you, she's just as fascinating as the music that she makes.

This is Dadawa's comeback concert, after a decade long break. She performed new songs, from her soon to be released album "Seven Days".

This is not traditional Buddhist music, nor is it sung in some lost, ancient language. It's simply an expression of Dadawa's inner world.
